Alan Merrilees - Guitar & BG Vocals

As a member of "Manitoba Music" and as a song writer and musician; Al has continued his musical journey doing what he loves most... playing and entertaining.  His music career began many years ago, playing in various high school bands in Oakville, Ontario, jamming to popular songs of the day, British invasion, R&B, Soul and the likes.

This continued through his university years while playing with bands in the bars, high schools, and universities in Winnipeg and its surrounding areas. Over the proceeding years he began working on song writing at which time he met other like minded musicians and writers and also worked in audio production in TV, and recording.

Over the past ten years Al attended many jams at local bars feeding a desire to get back into playing live where he met Rick Davie (Lead Vocalist).  Their mutual love for music, playing and entertaining helped form what we know today as "The Strange Brew Project".

Al is currently working on his first CD release and continuing with his love for song writing.  Keep checking back for information on this CD release as we will be promoting, offering specials and supporting Al and his new endeavor.

Ed  Nunn - Bass & BG Vocals

Rock has always been Ed’s first love – driven by the British Invasion.

Ed is a self-taught musician who began his music career at the age of 15 when he started playing at school dances and other functions in the Winnipeg area.

After several years and several bands, Ed joined up with group that wanted to take the band on the road. Two of the most memorable events for him during that time were a benefit concert at Headingly and the Miss Teen pageant in Ontario.

Even though he has always stayed connected to music through his work as an engineer at Global and CTV, Ed is happy to be back playing the music he loves for people who love it too.
